Rahal keynote speaker at Autosport International

Racing legend and new Jaguar Formula 1 boss Bobby Rahal will be a keynote speaker during next year's Motorsport Industry Association organised conferences at Autosport International

Autosport International

Autosport International is a four-day event motorsport event that includes a two-day trade show for industry professionals and a two-day public show.

Two morning conferences are scheduled for the popular trade-only days on Thursday January 11 and Friday January 12 at the NEC Birmingham.

At Thursday's conference, 'Maintaining Pole Position, current economic value and the future of the motorsport industry', the MIA will release the results of the largest UK motorsport industry survey ever undertaken - data from over 10,000 questionnaires completed within the industry. This will be debated at the opening conference.

Friday's business conference will examine all aspects of motorsport sponsorship and international marketing opportunities, and has attracted Triple Champ Car Champion Bobby Rahal as a speaker.

Gavin Brown, Managing Director of Haymarket Exhibitions, said: "The two dedicated trade-only days at last year's show attracted over 16,000 visitors, including 2700 from more than 51 overseas countries. We welcome the MIA conferences."

Both conferences are scheduled to start at 08:30am for registration, with the opening speaker beginning at 09:00am on each day. Online registration for the conferences will be available from November 1 2000 at www.autosport-internation.com.

For price details and reservations before that date, please contact Alistair Crompton at the MIA on 02476 692600.
