Robert Kubica confirms return to the WRC in 2015 in Ford Fiesta
Robert Kubica has confirmed he will return to the World Rally Championship next season, driving a LOTOS-backed Ford Fiesta RS WRC
The 30-year-old Pole had faced with a tough decision regarding a potential switch to circuit racing, but elected to stay in the WRC, which he feels offers him the biggest challenge.
Kubica, who will again be co-driven by Maciek Szczepaniak, said: "After analysing the situation, I decided to continue in the WRC, where the challenge for me is still the biggest.
"It took me a long time to make this decision, but there was no pressure at all. I wanted to be sure about it and I did not want to rush.
"Together with Maciek [Szczepaniak, co-driver] we will drive a Ford Fiesta RS WRC, the car we got to know last year which handles really well on gravel - something which helps me a lot, given my relatively small experience."
Kubica had been linked to a return to the Janner Rally, which he won in a Fiesta RRC last season, but he confirmed his first outing of 2015 would be the Monte Carlo Rally.
"This time we start the season not with Janner Rally but with Monte Carlo," he added.
"I am [also] happy to continue my WRC [career] with LOTOS, my loyal partner, which has supported me since the beginning of my rally career."
