Ex-F1 ace Robert Kubica to continue in World Rally Championship

Robert Kubica will remain in the World Rally Championship next season

The 2008 Canadian Grand Prix winner had laboured over the decision of whether to remain in rallying or return to circuit racing for the first time since he finished fifth in Formula 1's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in November 2010.

Sources within the Automobile Club de Monaco have confirmed to AUTOSPORT that an entry from Kubica has been received for next month's 2015 WRC season-opener, Rally Monte Carlo.

The 30-year-old will remain in a Ford Fiesta RS WRC next season, with the car run by either M-Sport itself or the Italian outfit A-Style, with which he won the recent Monza Rally and Bettega Memorial Rallysprint.

The Kubica camp remains tight-lipped on its decision, stating only that communication on the Polish star's future will be made in the coming week.

Kubica took his decision to the wire, with entries closing for the Monte Carlo Rally on Friday night.

His entry was believed to have been made late in the afternoon.
