Silverstone MotoGP: Marc Marquez crashes but still quickest

Marc Marquez remained the man to beat in Saturday morning MotoGP practice for the British Grand Prix, despite suffering a late-session crash.
The championship leader went to the top of the order on the first lap of his second run, setting a weekend best of 2m01.906s, before the front of his Honda gave way the next time around at The Loop.
Marquez and his bike slid into the gravel in unison and the Spaniard trudged his way back to the pits unharmed.
He managed to resume running on his second machine with five minutes of the session remaining, but was unable to make further gains, unlike those behind him.
Andrea Dovizioso emerged as his nearest rival and came within a whisker of matching Marquez's time, but finished the session just 0.034 seconds adrift. His Ducati was in the middle of a Honda sandwich with Dani Pedrosa claiming third.
Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo comfortably made it into the top 10, which was a stark contrast to their Friday performance where the pair lamented that the tyres were not giving them lean angle that they needed.
Pol Espargaro finished behind the factory Yamaha duo in sixth, while Stefan Bradl, who crashed in the dying moments of the session, claimed seventh on the LCR Honda.
Tech 3's Bradley Smith continued to be the top Briton in eighth, with Andrea Iannone and Aleix Espargaro rounding off the top 10.
Alvaro Bautista and Yonny Hernandez both missed the Q2 cut-off by just 0.026s and will aim to go faster in the first qualifying session to progress to the pole position shootout.
