Oulton Park Island track back as BTCC announces 2015 calendar

Aron Smith, BMR VW, leads Oulton Park BTCC 2014

The British Touring Car Championship will revert to the Oulton Park Island circuit for its 2015 calendar, which has been confirmed.

The full Oulton International configuration was used for the first time since 1996 this season, but came in for criticism after relatively sedate races.

As a result, the series will return to the shorter Island circuit in 2015.

The calendar remains otherwise similar to this season, with the series' launch and official pre-season test taking place at Donington Park on March 24.

April 5 Brands Hatch Indy
April 19 Donington Park
May 10 Thruxton
June 7 Oulton Park Island
June 28 Croft
August 9 Snetterton
August 23 Knockhill
September 6 Rockingham
September 27 Silverstone
October 11 Brands Hatch GP
