British Touring Car racer Rob Austin will contest the Thruxton rounds this weekend after his squad rebuilt his Audi A4.
Austin's car was involved in a number of scrapes at Donington Park last month, culminating in a hit from behind by Tom Ingram's Speedworks Toyota Avensis.
The repairs to the A4 were greater than initially thought, but Austin's eponymous squad has managed to rebuild the car in time.
"The damage was worse than we first thought, but the work that's gone in since Donington has been unbelievable," said Austin.
"Yet again my crew have done the most remarkable job in the timeframe. The least I can do now is go to Thruxton and drive the hell out of it."
Austin nevertheless believes the high-speed Hampshire circuit will probably not suit the A4.
"I've gone well in everything else I've raced there but for some reason it remains a bogey circuit for our Audi in the BTCC," he added.
"The rear-wheel-drive configuration seems to put us at a disadvantage there against the front-wheel-drive cars that make up the majority of the grid.
"It could be a bit of a damage-limitation exercise."
