Andre Lotterer, Marcel Fassler and Benoit Treluyer enter Spa 24 Hrs

The prototype trio, who will bid for a second World Endurance Championship title this year, will take part in the blue-riband Blancpain Endurance Series round on July 26/27 at the wheel of an extra WRT Audi R8 LMS ultra.

Fassler and Lotterer are returning to WRT for Spa after finishing third last year, while Treluyer has joined them to make his debut in the Belgian 24-hour event.

WRT team boss Vincent Vosse said: "I wanted to put together a really strong extra car for Spa [the team runs three in the BES]: Marcel is always very fast at Spa and Andre did an excellent job with us last year

"I was thinking of Loic Duval, who is a good friend of mine, but then I thought why not make life simple for myself? I had Lotterer and Fassler, so why not go for Treluyer as well?

"They were very happy to do the race together."

Lotterer, Fassler and Treluyer will drive a car numbered #2 alongside the WRT lead BES entry.

WRT will also tweak the line-up in its #1 car for the 24 Hours: Laurens Vanthoor, who is shares the car with Marc Basseng and Cesar Ramos in the other BES rounds, will be joined by Rene Rast and Markus Winkelhock for the 24 Hours

The #1 and #2 cars will be run under one WRT structure managed by Pierre Dieudonne, while its third entry in the Pro Cup and its entry in the Gentlemen Trophy will be looked after by Thierry Tassin.

Frederic Bouvy, a two-time winner at Spa when the 24 Hours was a touring car event, will join the Gentlemen Trophy line-up.
