Hector Hurst to move into 2014 Euro F3 with West-Tec

Ex-Formula 2 racer Hector Hurst has become the fourth British driver in this year's Formula 3 European Championship after joining Team West-Tec.
Hurst, who finished 10th in the F2 rankings in 2012, switched last year to the Spanish-based European F3 Open Series, where he took one win with De Villota Motorsport before joining West-Tec for the final round.
The 21-year-old, who is managed by ex-F1 racer Mark Blundell, lines up alongside Puerto Rican Felix Serralles at the Corby-based squad, which will run a brace of Dallara-Mercedes.
"This is a great opportunity for me," said Hurst.
"I would like to thank Mark Blundell and Team West-Tec for putting this deal together.
"I was able to work with Team West-Tec towards the end of 2013 and really enjoyed it, and the chance to compete in the FIA F3 European Championship with them is huge."
Team boss John Miller added: "Hector impressed us highly in 2013 and was always a target to continue with us in 2014.
"I am sure that he and Felix are both going to be able to challenge at the front and win races for us this year, as we've spent a lot of time putting together what we believe are all the right elements of the package to be able to win."
Hurst is the 29th driver confirmed for European F3 in 2014, leaving just one seat - at Jo Zeller Racing - remaining.
