Castrol EDGE Grand Prix Predictor is back for 2014 F1 season

The Castrol EDGE Grand Prix Predictor returns for 2014 with brand new prizes and exciting updates to the popular fantasy F1 game, which is developed by the same people that bring you

Since the game began in 2011 more than 90,000 people have signed up to play, and for the first time Lewis Hamilton starts the year off as the overwhelming favourite to win the opening race - according to 48 per cent of the game's predictors.

The Grand Prix Predictor is free to enter and easy to use. It allows users to compete for race-by-race prizes by forecasting the top 10, and more besides, in every grand prix during 2014.

The first prize up for grabs is a Sony PlayStation 4 console (subject to terms and conditions) for the user who scores the most game points over the Australian Grand Prix weekend.

But as many seasoned players have discovered, while the concept is easy to grasp, it's hard to master and this year more so than ever with the shake-up in the order from the onset of sweeping new tech regulations.

It's a good thing then that predictions for each race can be changed up to five minutes before qualifying, because you might need some hints from practice in Melbourne before settling on your choice.

The are lots of exciting new features for 2014 too, such as customisable private leagues that allow you to track your rivals' performance race-by-race and new fun driver fan leagues.

You can also play the game on a variety of mobile and tablet devices. Look out in next week's AUTOSPORT magazine to find out who won the opening round.
