Johnny Cecotto Jr joins Trident for 2014 GP2 season

Johnny Cecotto Jr will switch from Arden to Trident for the 2014 GP2 championship

The Venezuelan driver drove for the team in what was his second year in the series in 2010.

He moved to Ocean Racing Technology, Addax and then Arden in the following seasons, racking up two victories and two poles in the process.

One of those poles came last year in Monaco, although he was then blamed for a first corner crash and banned from the second event.

Cecotto, who has tested in Formula 1 for Force India and Toro Rosso, said Trident was the perfect fit for 2014.

"I have to confess that I can't wait to start working with my new team," he said.

"After the last season, I really want to be back at the wheel to give my best to win.

"I have found people in Trident with whom I have a really good feeling and with great competence.

"My new engineers and mechanics have the same determination as me and the same desire to win so I am sure we will do a great job."
