Bruno Senna will contest just the Le Mans 24 Hours with Aston Martin Racing in 2014.
The ex-Formula 1 driver, who undertook a full World Endurance Championship campaign with the British manufacturer in 2013, revealed to AMR that he would be unavailable for a season-long ride as early as last September.
AMR team boss John Gaw said: "Le Mans is all Bruno is available for.
"We have known about this since the Austin race last year, so a full programme for Bruno was never in the plan."
Senna won his class on two occasions last season.
He will drive AMR's additional third car at the WEC blue-riband event in June with team-mates who have yet to be decided.
The Brazilian is expected to announce his 2014 plans shortly.
