Dino Zamparelli switches to champion ART team for 2014 GP3 Series

British driver Dino Zamparelli has joined champion team ART for the 2014 GP3 Series

Zamparelli moves across from Manor after finishing 18th in last year's standings, with two seventh places his best results.

The 21-year-old had previously won the 2011 BARC Formula Renault title before graduating to international racing in Formula 2, where he took eighth in the '12 championship.

"Signing for ART Grand Prix is a massive move," said Zamparelli. "I'm so excited to get to race for a team with so much history.

"In GP3 they've won four titles in a row so they are clearly getting something right.

"The aim is simple, to go and win as many races as possible and ultimately take the championship crown at the end of the year. With a team like ART and with my experience in GP3 last year, I feel we've got all the right ingredients to do that."

ART has won the teams' title in every season of GP3's four-year existence so far.

It took current Formula 1 drivers Esteban Gutierrez and Valtteri Bottas to the 2010 and '11 crowns, but its '12 and '13 title hopefuls Daniel Abt and Facu Regalia were pipped by MW Arden men Mitch Evans and Daniil Kvyat.

Zamparelli joins Alex Fontana in the ART line-up, with one more driver still to be announced.
