Former Porsche, Audi and Nissan factory driver Lucas Luhr has joined BMW's roster of GT drivers for this year's Nurburgring 24 Hours.
The American Le Mans Series champion in 2012-13, who has remained with the Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing squad for this year's United SportsCar Championship, will be part of a four-car attack on the Nordschleife classic on June 21/22.
The 34-year-old won the 24 Hours at the 'Ring in 2006 and '11 with the Manthey Porsche team.
He joins BMW regulars, including Dirk and Jorg Muller and Uwe Alzen, and fellow newcomers Alexander Sims and 2012 FIA GT3 European champion Dominik Baumann.
The four factory Z4 GT3s will be run by long-time BMW entrant Team Schubert and the Belgian Marc VDS Racing squad.
The line-ups in each car will be determined at a later date.
The full roster of drivers announced so far is: Dirk Werner, Claudia Hurtgen, the two Mullers, Alzen, Dirk Adorf, Jens Klingmann, Luhr, Sims and Baumann.
Drivers from BMW's DTM line-up will complete the marque's driving squad for the 24 Hours.
