Robert Kubica remains adamant that he has no expectation from this week's 2014 World Rally Championship-opening Monte Carlo Rally.
The Polish star was fifth quickest on the 2.18-mile shakedown stage at Chateauvieux near Gap, but admitted he found the conditions increasingly difficult in his Ford Fiesta RS WRC.
"The road was getting worse," said Kubica, "the corners were being cut and [the road] was dirty, it was difficult."
Kubica posted his fastest time - which was three seconds shy of Sebastien Ogier's benchmark - on his second run.
Talking about his prospects for the rally, he added: "I just want to finish the event.
"It's so difficult with the weather changing and not knowing which tyre to take.
"I don't make any predictions at all, I just want to be at the end of the event."

While Kubica has never made the start of Monte Carlo, he did however retire a Renault Clio R3 from the prologue stage in 2010.
