Sam Tordoff confirmed at MG for 2014 BTCC season

British Touring Car race winner Sam Tordoff will continue with the works MG squad alongside Jason Plato this year.
Tordoff took a victory and finished sixth in the standings in his rookie season in 2013.
The 24-year-old has now confirmed he will again drive the second Triple Eight-run MG6 in 2014. He will also continue as a KX Akademy member.
"I am absolutely delighted to return to MG and the KX Akademy," said Tordoff. "This outcome is the perfect scenario and the continuation I have of keeping the same people around me for 2014 will no doubt be highly beneficial.
Tordoff hopes he can now challenge for the championship. "My goal for the 2014 season is to return to the BTCC for a shot at the title," he added.
"2013 was a learning year where I gained invaluable experience, began to understand an NGTC car and adapt to the racecraft.
"I will now return as a better driver to fight for wins and achieve consistency, which will put me much closer to the championship battle."
