Nissan will place drivers with Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing in each of the United SportsCar Championship enduros as part of its global exchange programme.
The Japanese manufacturer has confirmed that Alex Brundle, who has links with the company dating back to 2012, will take part in the USC-opening Daytona 24 Hours later this month with Muscle Milk, which has been named as a Nissan partner team.
A Nissan-affiliated driver will then join up with team regulars Klaus Graf and Lucas Luhr in the Muscle Milk ORECA-Nissan LMP2 at the Sebring 12 Hours and Petit Le Mans USC rounds in March and October respectively.
Nissan global motorsport boss Darren Cox said: "We're glad to welcome Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing to the Nissan family and look forward to having our official drivers learn from such a successful team.
"We are also very proud to have brought Nissan back to the forefront of US sportscar racing - our company has an incredible pedigree dating back to the old IMSA championship."
The exchange scheme, designed to broaden the experience of drivers within the Nissan family, started last summer with inaugural Nissan GT Academy winner Lucas Ordonez making his Super GT debut in the Suzuka 1000Km in August and Kazuki Hoshino swapping the other way to take part in the Blancpain Endurance Series finale at the Nurburgring in September.
