Two-time American Le Mans Series champion team Pickett Racing will remain in top-class US endurance racing to field an LMP2 ORECA-Nissan 03 in the United SportsCar Championship.
Pickett, which was granted a P class slot for an unspecified car when the USC entry was announced, will retain team regulars Klaus Graf and Lucas Luhr
The move means that Pickett is ending its relationship with Honda Performance Development, with whose HPD ARX-03a/c LMP1 contender it claimed its two ALMS titles.
Team boss Greg Pickett said: "This is an exciting time for us at Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing as we welcome ORECA as our new partner.
"After winning the last two LMP1 championships in the ALMS, it was important for us to choose a partner for our new adventure into the USC that can help us continue to build on the success we've known so far."
Pickett's decision means that the 13-strong full-season entry for the USC's premier division will be made up of six P2s, six upgraded Daytona Prototypes and the works DeltaWing.
Pickett is also running a a solo car in the one-make PC prototype division next year.
