Spy photos from Audi's Sebring test this week confirm that its new 2014 World Endurance Championship contender retains a strong resemblance to this year's R18 e-tron quattro.
The new car, which is also called the R18 e-tron quattro, has been photographed running in 'dazzle-ship' camouflage livery at the Florida venue.
The photographs show that the new LMP1 coupe, which is five percent narrower by regulation, is designed around similar aerodynamic principles to its predecessor.
Audi had previously only released a heavily-photoshopped image of the new car ahead of the test at Sebring, which started on Sunday.
No details of the test at Sebring, which follows a series of secret runs in Europe since late September, have been released.
The latest R18 will be unveiled along with details of Audi's 2014 WEC programme in Germany on December 18.
Chevrolet was also present at the test with its new-for-2014 C7.R GTLM/GTE class contender.
