Abu Dhabi GP3: Toro Rosso F1 signing Daniil Kvyat leads practice
Recent Toro Rosso Formula 1 signing Daniil Kvyat set the fastest time in free practice ahead of the GP3 Series title-decider in Abu Dhabi
MW Arden driver Kvyat lapped the Yas Marina track in 1m57.130s, just 0.028 seconds clear of Alexander Sims of Carlin.
Kvyat's fellow Red Bull junior Carlos Sainz was third fastest, ahead of the second Carlin car of Nick Yelloly.
Points leader Facu Regalia of ART was only 12th fastest. He holds a seven-point lead going into qualifying.
Of the other title contenders, all of whom have an outside chance, Kevin Korjus was sixth, Conor Daly was ninth, Jack Harvey 10th and Tio Ellinas 18th.
Dean Stoneman was eighth fastest in his GP3 debut, with returnees Robert Cregan 20th and Alice Powell 21st.
