Alesi and Wurz face medicals before GP
Injured Formula 1 aces Jean Alesi and Alexander Wurz face late medicals on Friday morning to be passed fit for the Hungarian Grand Prix
But both are expected to get the go-ahead when they are examined by FIA medical delegate professor Sid Watkins just before the first free practice session starts late tomorrow morning.
Alesi was unable to speak for three nights and suffered stomach problems after his deceptively severe accident in the German Grand Prix two weeks ago.
Prost Grand Prix test driver Stephane Sarrazin is at the Hungaroring and standing by in case Alesi fails the medical or has an adverse reaction to getting back in the cockpit.
Wurz plumbed new depths in a troubled season which is likely to be his last at Benetton, when he crashed on the final day of testing at Valencia in Spain.
A suspension wishbone pierced the cockpit and gashed his right leg to the bone damaging the muscle. He has been unable to exercise since because of the muscle damage and stitches but has said it will not affect his driving.
