Christian Klien to make Auto GP debut at Mugello

Christian KlienEx-Formula 1 driver Christian Klien will make his Auto GP debut at Mugello this weekend with Zele Racing.

The 30-year-old Austrian, who started 49 grands prix for Jaguar, Red Bull and HRT from 2004-2010, replaces Britain's Luciano Bacheta as team-mate to Tamas Pal Kiss.

Klien has not raced a single-seater since the 2010 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and has only made selected sportscar and touring car appearances since then.

This year he has had a pole position in Australian GTs, a race victory in the ADAC Procar Series for S2000 touring cars in Germany and a one-off appearance in Superstars at Brno.

One other driver change involves Francesco Dracone switching from Super Nova to Ibiza Racing, where he replaces Fabrizio Crestani.
