Marc Marquez agrees it is too early to race 2014 Honda bike

Marc Marquez, HondaMarc Marquez concurs with team-mate Dani Pedrosa's assessment that Honda should not rush its 2014 MotoGP bike into race action yet.

Honda made next year's RC213V available for the duo to test at Aragon this week, and told its riders it was willing to race it as soon as possible this season if they wanted to.

Pedrosa decided after Wednesday's test that he preferred the current bike for now, and after trying the 2014 machine for the first time on Thursday, Marquez reached the same conclusion.

"The first feeling was quite good and the engine has some improvement," he said after doing 13 laps on the bike.

"With the chassis, there is also an improvement but also some areas to work on but we didn't do any set-up work on the bike.

"Anyway, this is a very good base for the HRC engineers to work from but at the moment I prefer our current 2013 machine."

Suzuki was the only other team that stayed on at Aragon for Thursday. Its test rider Randy de Puniet did a 1m49.530s, compared to the 1m48.496s that Marquez set on the 2013 Honda.
