BTCC title contender Andrew Jordan considering rallycross return

Andrew Jordan Rallycross (c) Hal RidgeBritish Touring Car title contender Andrew Jordan is eyeing a return to rallycross competition after testing a current Supercar last week.

Jordan, who was a top British rallycross driver before his switch to circuit racing, tested a Team Olsbergs Ford Fiesta at Strangnas.

The 24-year-old was impressed with the European and Global Rallycross machine and has not ruled out competing in an event.

"The car was unreal, with 550bhp and 850N/M torque," said Jordan, who took a BTCC race victory at Oulton Park last weekend.

"It felt a lot more modern than the one [Ford Focus] I last drove in 2007. The dampers and car in general are very modern and developed.

"My pace was quick straight away so I'd like to think I could be pretty competitive.

"I'm hoping to do something with them this year as was very impressed with the team and car."
