Silverstone British F3: John Bryant-Meisner to disconnect boost

John Bryant-Meisner will contest this weekend's British Formula 3 International Series races at Silverstone with his boost button disconnected after comfortably outpacing the competitors who are eligible for points in qualifying.
The Swede ran unrestricted in the Saturday morning session, during which he recorded a speed-trap figure on the Hangar Straight that was 6.2mph faster than Jordan King, who topped the lap times in the International Class.
AUTOSPORT understands that the Anglo-Swedish Performance Racing squad that runs Bryant-Meisner's car instantly worked with series officials on a fair solution. The result is that the boost button, which is run in the German F3 Cup in which the team normally competes, cannot be used.
We have also learned that Bryant-Meisner, who will start races one and three from pole, will do his utmost not to interfere with those who are fighting for championship points.
The decision partly alleviates concerns from King.
"If they kept full power all the time that wouldn't be a problem," the Englishman said immediately after the session. "But if he only has a few boosts available for the race then he could keep coming back to us. I just don't want to get tangled up with him."
