Carlos Sainz Jr tipped to add Euro F3 programme to GP3 campaign

Carlos Sainz Jr looks increasingly likely to join Red Bull junior stablemate Tom Blomqvist in EuroInternational's European Formula 3 line-up, AUTOSPORT has learned.
Sainz contested a race-winning dual campaign in British and European F3 last season, and is one of the expected pacesetters in the GP3 Series this season with MW Arden.
He was present at last weekend's Silverstone round of the FIA F3 European Championship, while EuroInternational's spare Dallara-Mercedes lay in the awning - with a Red Bull livery.
None of the GP3 races clash with European F3, although the Masters of F3 non-championship race at Zandvoort is on the same weekend as the German Grand Prix GP3 support races.
Sainz, who like Blomqvist is the son of a World Rally champion, already has history with EuroInternational. He contested the Formula BMW Europe series - his first season in cars - with the squad in 2010.
"It's not in my plans, but the plans are all made by Red Bull," said Sainz. "If later in the season the opportunity comes that would be good. I have a really good relationship with the team from BMW."
Team boss Antonio Ferrari would not comment on the story.
