Castrol EDGE GP Predictor: Vettel 'favourite' for Melbourne
|Thursday, March 14th 2013, 12:20 GMT|
World champion Sebastian Vettel is overwhelming favourite to win the Australian Grand Prix according to the players of the 2013 Castrol EDGE Grand Prix Predictor.
The Red Bull driver, who is the only man other than Jenson Button to have won at Albert Park in the last four years, has been predicted to win by 37 per cent of the games users, while Ferrari's Fernando Alonso is next likely on 24 per cent.
Players of the game - which is now fully optimised for mobile and tablet use - can also compete against a panel of experts that includes former F1 driver Karun Chandhok, triple world touring car champion Andy Priaulx as well as us here at AUTOSPORT.
And Chandhok agrees that Vettel is a red hot favourite: "If you saw any of the testing coverage, it looked as if Red Bull sandbagged more than anyone else.
"The car just looked mega on the track. I think it is still right on the money, as of course is Vettel."
The Grand Prix Predictor allows users to compete for prizes by forecasting the top 10 in every grand prix during 2013.
The ultimate prize this year is a trip for two to next year's Monaco Grand Prix, and there will be race-by-race prizes like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 available to the player who scores the highest individual race score.
Registering a team in the game is free, and predictions for each race can be changed up to five minutes before qualifying that weekend.
