Punters' guide to the Austrian GP
According to the bookies, there is little in it between the championship's top three as they head into the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend. Schumacher is the current favourite for the race, while DC jumps his team-mate in the prices as the bookies begin to back the Scot in his chase for the title
Any big payouts this weekend will depend on unreliability from McLaren and Ferrari, but so far this season there has been very little of that: Ralf Schumacher and Giancarlo Fisichella remain the only other visitors to the podium.
However, the Austrian track is expected to suit the Jordan cars, so Frentzen and Trulli could be good bets at 33/1 and 50/1 respectively - but only if they can stay on track while the main contenders fall by the wayside. Regular excellent qualifying performances from Jacques Villeneuve have so far failed to blossom into top points finishes, but if he can sit at the sharp end of the grid again come Sunday, an each way bet may be worth a shot.
The prices from Ladbrokes are as follows:
M Schumacher 11/10
D Coulthard 5/2
M Hakkinen 11/4
R Barrichello 8/1
