Jari-Matti Latvala impressed by Volkswagen WRC tests

Jari-Matti Latvala VW WRCJari-Matti Latvala says Volkwagen has already made a huge impression on him since he joined the team at the end of the 2012 World Rally Championship season.

Saturday's VW launch in Monaco was the first time Latvala had been able to speak about the squad since moving from Ford at the end of this year's campaign.

After testing the car in Mexico and France as part of the the team's Monte Carlo preparations, Latvala said: "From what I have seen everybody is very motivated. We have a lot of engineers collecting data.

"In all the testing that has been done we try to be creative and all the engineers and mechanics are listening to what drivers are saying. And they are bringing that information about the car to improve it.

"I have very positive feelings about the future. When we start the rally there is always finetuning to do, and we need to concentrate on details but it all looks very good the for the future."
