Sepang MotoGP: Race start delayed by heavy downpour

MotoGP and Moto2's Sepang races have been hit by a massive downpour at the Malaysian track.
Black clouds had loomed for the final half of Moto3's opener, although spots of rain ultimately never developed into anything more serious.
That was to the detriment of home favourite Zulfahmi Khairuddin, who was leading across the line on the final six laps and would have inherited his first victory had the race been cancelled.
In the end, he lost out to team-mate Sandro Cortese at the final corner, coming home second.
As the Malaysian and Cortese made their way to the podium however the weather finally turned and the rain settled in.
Sepang has a history of changeable weather - including at this year's Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Circuit organisers announced that the start of Moto2, due on directly before the showpiece MotoGP event, would be delayed by 20 minutes as a result of the weather.
MotoGP meanwhile has provisionally been shuffled 15 minutes later than originally planned.
