IndyCar title contenders Will Power and Ryan Hunter-Reay are among the 14 drivers who will fit new engines and take 10-place grid penalties for Saturday's season-finale at Fontana.
Series regulations limit each car to five new engines for the season. Power and Hunter-Reay were already using their fifth engines going into this weekend. However both have opted to have a fresh engine installed to minimise the risk of a failure during the race.
Others who are facing penalties for fitting sixth engines this weekend are Helio Castroneves, Justin Wilson, James Hinchcliffe, Graham Rahal, Simon Pagenaud and Alex Tagliani.
Scott Dixon, Wade Cunningham and Josef Newgarden will use their seventh engines, while Charlie Kimball and Takuma Sato are having their eighth and ninth installed respectively.
