Ex-Formula 2 race winner Will Bratt will make his British Touring Car debut at Oulton Park this weekend.
The 24-year-old will drive Rob Austin Racing's second Audi A4, while team boss Rob Austin's car is still being repaired after its crash at Thruxton.
Team boss Rob Austin said: "It's a deal just for Oulton at the moment but hopefully it'll be the start of a longer relationship. I think he's seen the potential of the Audi and wants to be part of the programme.
"Unfortunately I'm not able to race as my own car is still being repaired following its very big shunt at Thruxton. Will is going to be in our second car, which is fully prepared to the latest 2012 specification."
Austin believes the single-seater convert, who has already tested at Rockingham, will be competitive. "I don't think getting him up to speed in a touring car will be any problem," he added. "He's already a very quick driver and we saw that at Rockingham, where he was very good straight away."
Austin believes the team has cured the engine problems that blighted his Donington Park and Thruxton weekends, and hopes to be back behind the wheel at Croft later this month.
