Stoner beats Massa in ice kart race

Casey Stoner, Ducati ski camp 2009Casey Stoner beat Felipe Massa to victory in the ice karting race that closed Ducati and Ferrari's traditional pre-season Madonna di Campiglio ski event in Italy.

Ducati's factory MotoGP riders Stoner and Nicky Hayden, plus test rider Vittoriano Guareschi, took on Formula One championship runner-up Massa and Ferrari's test driver Luca Badoer.

With Kimi Raikkonen having to leave the camp early due to illness and Marc Gene heading to Vairano for a private Ferrari F1 test ultimately cancelled due to bad weather, Massa's younger brother Eduardo was invited to complete the field.

Stoner secured the win with a penultimate lap pass on the elder Massa, while Hayden beat Badoer, Guareschi and Eduardo Massa to the final podium spot.
